COVID-19 MESSAGE, Cinema Detroit
Update 03: November 23, 2021 — As Michigan is the worst COVID-19 hotspot in the nation, Cinema Detroit is now requiring proof of vaccination and masks for entry. Proof of vaccination consists of a vaccination card and a photo ID. A photo of the vaccination card is acceptable. Masks must be worn over the nose and mouth at all times except when eating or drinking. Thank you for your cooperation.
Update 02: August 19, 2021 — Masks are required regardless of vaccination status except when eating or drinking.
Update: We remain closed and are determining when we will re-open. In the meantime, please visit Virtual Cinema Detroit for a great selection of films that help sustain us during this difficult time.
March 11, 2020
Due to increasing concern about everyone’s safety during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily suspend all screenings starting Monday, March 16, 2020.
We will re-evaluate conditions as the week goes on, watch your email inbox or cinemadetroit.org for updates on re-opening.
The show will go on with your help
As you may know, ticket and concession sales are our only source of revenue, so your tax-deductible support at this time is greatly appreciated.
Donations can be made here, and if you have already bought tickets to this week's shows, you can convert that purchase to a donation if you'd like.
Of course, if you'd like a refund, we are happy to process that as well.
Many thanks to those who have already contributed. It means more than I can say.
Stay healthy and be safe,
