A career con artist (Jean Gabin) gets out of prison and reunites with his wife, who wants him to stay away from crime. But he’s already thinking about his next heist, a casino in Cannes. He enlists his former cellmate (Alain Delon) to help out and they get to work. However, there is no such thing as a foolproof plan. A favorite of Akira Kurosawa, this French film noir is a classic in every sense of the word, featuring great performances, strong visuals, and, of course, Delon.
